The Great JamJarToys Escape: Why We're Closing For a Week (And Why You Should Panic-Buy LEGO Parts Before We Do)

There comes a time in every small business's year when the team looks at each other, looks at the 5,793 LEGO minifigure parts sitting on the shelves, and collectively decides: enough. We need sand. We need sun. We need to stop sorting tiny plastic torsos for at least a week.

That time has arrived.

The Official Announcement

JamJarToys will be closed from 22nd June to 29th June, reopening on 30th June.

That's it. That's the whole announcement. You'd think it would need more words, but honestly, our minifigures made the decision for us. They downed tools, grabbed their tiny inflatable rings, and have not been seen since.

What This Means For You

If you've been circling a specific hair piece, eyeing up a particular headgear, or finally building the minifigure version of yourself and just need that one torso to complete the look, now is the moment. Not next week. Not "when you get round to it." Now.

Last orders: Sunday Evening 21st June.

Anything ordered before then ships before we disappear. Anything needed after that can be added to basket but you won't be able to complete the purchase until we're back, sunburnt and slightly reluctant to return to indoor lighting.

A Day in the Life of the JamJarToys Holiday Panic

Picture the scene. It's Sunday evening. Somewhere in the shop, a man in a Hawaiian shirt is pushing a trolley stacked dangerously high with boxes marked "ORDERS DUE," sweating through fabric that was specifically chosen to suggest relaxation. Meanwhile, everyone else on the team is already on the beach, building sandcastles, completely unbothered by the encroaching deadline.

Somebody left a camera on a towel. Nobody has gone back for it. This is the energy we are bringing into our holiday.

Why We Close (Instead of Just Slowing Down)

We are a small business and it's just me and my better half!

I'll still be checking emails from a sun lounger, but we physically can't ship anything until we're back — which is honestly a good thing. A proper break means a proper break.

Orders paused. Minifigures unsupervised and, frankly, a little feral.

It also means that when we're back on 30th June, we're actually back. Refreshed, recharged, and not nursing a laptop-shaped tan line.

What Happens While We're Away

Nothing dramatic. The shop sits quietly. The 5,793 parts wait patiently in their little compartments. You will be able to add your parts to basket but won't be able to pay and complete the order until we return.
